A fun layout built, with children in mind, in the busy 'continental' style with as much detail and interest as possible packed into the available space. A ground level L-shaped loft layout built in situ. Approx. 18' x 9' overall. Two track two-level with large through station, lots of viaducts, town and castle. Automatic infra-red controlled 4-aspect signalling. Full scenery with vehicles, people, etc. Loosely 1960s Southern Region. Completed September 2007 Track-diagram control panel with single button route selection and route indicator LEDs.
Track - Peco code 100. Controllers and transformers - Gaugemaster and Lenz. Point motors - Peco, mainly surface mounted under buildings. Electronics for control panel and automatic signals - Heathcote Electronics. Street lamps - Patronics and Viessmann. Additional lighting and electronic gismos - Express Models. Signals - Eckon. Scenic materials - Green Scene, Woodland Scenics, Heki and Noch. Viaducts, structures and buildings - various, including Wills, Metcalfe and Langley Models. Fencing and other detail items - Wills, Ratio, Langley Models, Harburn Hamlet and others. People and animals - Noch and Preiser. Road vehicles - Classix, Oxford, EFE, Corgi, Cararama and others.
