  4. Just tried super elevation on my N gauge layout.
    I used curved strips of Plasticard 10 thou'thick and double thickness where needed for a little correction.
    It worked a treat and was easy to do by placing a straight edge across the track to gauge how much to insert. It was then checked with a square against a carriage at various points around the curve to see the lean angle. Subtle but effective. Great - thanks for the tip.

  7. What a magnificent website! While I have briefly looked through, I too have been inspired by the excellence in crafsmanship, and the Modelling Tips. In the future I plan to start an N-scale replica of the St. Charles Streetcar line in New Orleans. The detail suggestions (manhole covers, water puddles, for example)are definitely items that others would overlook in such an undertaking. Thank you for pointing out those items!I will be back for more tips, and to view more of your excellent work.

  10. G'day,

    Would like to say what a great site. Having done some modelling over the years (Australian prototype), it is always rewarding to learn new techniques and be inspired by the layouts and photos shown. Keep up the good work.

    Cheers,
    Gary. (Sydney, Australia)

  11. Hi all,

    A fantastic website and good to see something you both love doing. I know David of old from Tonbridge Model Railway Club. Certainly an asset. When things improve I may certainly call on you for any help.
    In the meantime I have a couple of websites that I own that may be of interest.
    They are as follows;

    I hope you enjoy the venture!! Lovely work.

    Best Wishes

  12. A very attractive website with excellent photography ... having four thumbs on each hand I admire the skills and patience that modellers have, as I struggle some! Therefore It would be helpful to convey what might be the potential cost of a commission based on perhaps five levels of defined detail and indicated on a square foot basis etc. That way perhaps one can future plan without necessarily having to keep interrupting the business with financially based questions. Hope that helps .. and I have a future plan in mind once I can create the space to house it (16' x 4' to start).

    Kind regards,

    Bob.
